North Shore Sea Kayaks have been around since 1982. Valley bought the company in 2006 but the orginal founder, Mike Nelson still builds the boats which are every bit as well made as Valley and use Valley hatches, etc. The Atlantic and Atlantic LV are fabulous boats, with more defined chine and V in the hull and classic lines. Not only do they look good, they paddle great as well aided by excellent ergonomics (seat, thigh bracing, etc).
