Series 25 includes somewhat larger stoves suitable for groups of about 3-4 people.

With the supports in the raised position, the stove can be used with large billies from the rest of the Trangia range. All the stove systems in the 25 series have two saucepans (1.75 and 1.5 litres), a 22 cm frying pan, windshields (upper and lower), a burner, a pan grip and a strap. The 25-8 UL/HA includes a 0.9 L kettle and hard anoodized frying pan and saucepans.
Trangia 25-8 UL/HA Features
1.5 liter hard anodized saucepan
1.75 liter hard anodized saucepan
8.7"(22 cm) hard anodized frypan
0.9 L kettle
Spirit burner (alcohol burner stove)
The heart of the storm-proof stove system is the two-part windshield. The ventilation holes in the lower windshield are directed into the wind to increase the oxygen supply to the burner. When the wind becomes too strong, the stove is turned to maintain the required flame. The stove stands stable, with the pan on the supports recessed into the upper windshield. The supports are turned upwards when the frypan is used. The combined frypan/lid can be put on top of the pan to speed up heating and save fuel as in the diagram at right.
The Trangia burner runs on Tenol or methylated spirits (Ethyl alcohol or Denature alcohol in the U.S.), which are cheap, safe and easily available. Tenol is cleaner, while methylated spirits have somewhat higher output. About 10-15% water can be mixed with the methylated spirits to reduce blackening of the pans. The burner is most efficient when filled to 2/3 capacity. The silent burner has a simple design that means it always works and does not break. Regardless of the weather, wind and season, it is easy to light. The Trangia also requires no pumping, simmers superbly, and is almost immune to mechanical failure.
